Rashidun DC is a community development organization dedicated to serving the most underserved communities in the District of Columbia. Found by DC native Imam Abdul-Ali, Rashidun DC was established in 2011 with a mission to actualize Islam as a living, breathing force for positive change in people's lives and a means of broad-based community upliftment. With programs focused around mentorship, education, and service, we strive to provide pathways out of poverty, hunger, and violence in the communities that we serve. Help us to continue our efforts. We established the Ar-Rashidun Community Center, where we intend to expand our programming to include job skills development, adult education, and GED training. The community center is in the Kenilworth neighborhood of DC, directly across from a public housing complex, in an area that has faced severe economic depression.
