Globally, 300 million children are out-of-school - predominantly in underserved communities such as rural villages, urban slums, and refugee settlements (UNESCO 2024). This education crisis disproportionately affects girls, ethnic minorities, and displaced populations and stems from the lack of schools and lack of trained teachers. By setting up innovative, one-room classrooms to teach reading, writing and foundational math to out-of-school children through learning games on digital devices, to children aged 5–17 in marginalized communities, Teach the World is providing access to literacy at a large scale. Since 2018, TTW has impacted over 20,000 learners in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Malawi - areas with acute poverty and alarming lack of literacy. Internal and independent evaluations show strong learning gains up to 2.5x higher than peers in traditional classrooms, with increased participation by girls. With these promising results, the aim is to reach an additional 20,000 learners in the next 2 years, with your help This is still a drop in the ocean, but will help us to build a foundation to reach millions of learners within the next 5-10 years.
