Who We are
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. May the peace and blessings of Him be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the leader of all messengers, his companions, and all those who follow him.
GYTF is a UK-based registered Charity No: 1122271 organization which was established in 2007 by Sheikh Saleh Ahmed Hamidi with the aim of helping to eradicate poverty for orphaned children and poor people in Bangladesh. Our activities and objectives are to provide financial support for the educational needs of children from poor families, help to deliver education by building Madrasa schools, provide access to educational materials and development programs for study, to build a shelter for the homeless, distribute wheelchairs to disabled people.
Other projects include Medical treatment, Rickshaws, Sewing Machine distribution among poor women, the Orphan project, the Qurbani project, Winter Blanket Project, and financial help for widows. Between 2007 and 2021, Goreeb & Yateem Fund Trust has donated over £3.6 million to different projects all over Bangladesh. One of our main priorities is to provide financial support for the education of poor children. We recognize the importance of education hence our commitment to provide it abundantly. We provide schools, study materials, and study programs to serve our commitment.
From the very beginning, it has always been our mission to help and support those who are underprivileged, and this continues to be our mission today as it has been at the very beginning. In fact, as we have grown our mission has become stronger and as we reach new milestones we renew our mission.
Continuing from our work in the past few years, we aim to build new houses for 5000 families by 2030. By 2025 we aim to build a further 300 Masjids, distribute 10,000 Family Food Packs (including the month of Ramadan), install 10,000 Tube wells, distribute 1000 Rickshaws and continue with our very popular wheelchair distribution. Furthermore, we aim to support at least 100 families with serious illnesses with their medical treatment and eye camps for cataract treatment and also general health checkups. In order to empower communities, we intend to open new centers to empower women (Sewing machines & Computer courses) and continue with educational support for blind students.
These are some of our aims and objectives for the coming years. As we move forward from the crippling Covid 19 pandemic and towards the future where we can assist in rebuilding the lives of those who are already poor and needy but were hard hit by the pandemic. We hope that you will join us in this mission of GYTF.
