Organization Detail | Feeling Blessed

Iqra Fund currently supports 3,990 first-generation K–12 students across village-based schools in remote mountain regions of northern Pakistan, with 85 first-generation women now studying at college or university. We have 101 staff teachers and, this year, supported 194 teachers overall working in 22 village K–8 schools. More than 1,362 mothers are actively engaged and trained as community leaders, supporting their daughters to become the first educated girls and women in their valley. Among our graduates, 34 have become their village’s first female teachers and 3 have become community-health professionals. Iqra Fund’s mission remains to build high-quality, self-sustaining school systems in remote areas, especially to empower girls, partnering with local governments, communities, parents and teachers for long-term success, generational growth and sustainable change. {if} girls have an education, they will improve life for themselves and their families.
