On March 2, 2023 CNN published an article with heart breaking description of the level of Hunger Yemeni children experience. The Emergency System monitoring Famine indicated increased level of famine in Yemen. Yemeni die of hunger in silence without media attention to their plight. $60 Sustains a family of 6 for a Month In 2022, Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation distributed food baskets to 240,423 people throughout Yemen. Our aim is to feed 1000 families with 6000 members for the whole month of Holly Month of Ramadan. The food baskets contains: 25 kilograms of flour; 10 kilograms of rice; 5 kilograms of sugar, 4 liters of oil, 1 kilograms of powdered milk, one kilogram of dates and 12 cans of beans. We serve the most disadvantaged and least accessible populations in the highest and most remote areas of Yemen. We serve communities that are inaccessible either due to lack of accessible roads or because of security issues in the area. YRRF is the only organization serving these communities. The cost includes transportation and delivery. Please help us reach our goal. Too Hungry to Weep A staggering 21.6 million people require some form of humanitarian assistance in 2023, as 80 per cent of the country’s population struggles to access food. Over two million of them are children suffering from acute malnutrition. Millions at risk of famine The UN just announced that the number of people who are at risk of famine increased from to 16 million. Parents who can't feed their children are left with feeling helpless as they see their children weather and die in front of them. Many mother see their children rapidly lose weight because the family does not have access to sufficient food. Millions of Yemeni parents are forced to watch their children die of hunger because they don't have reliable access to food.
